Fenix E05R is a compact EDC flashlight in the form of a pendant , which emits light with a stream of 400 lumens , has 4 useful lighting modes , a range of up to 64 m and a built-in battery charged via a micro-USB port .
Featherweight
The body of the Fenix E05R flashlight is made of aluminum , subjected to the HA-III hard anodizing process, thanks to which the tube and head of the flashlight are resistant to mechanical damage, scratches and abrasion. The compact size of the flashlight (68 mm) allows you to conveniently carry the flashlight in your pocket or attach it as a keychain. The knurled aluminum surface improves grip and prevents the flashlight from slipping out of your hand.

The light source is an efficient Cree XP-G2 S3 diode, which in burst mode emits a stream of 400 lumens with a brightness of 1046 candelas and a range of up to 64 m . The light is evenly and widely dispersed thanks to the use of an ultra-thin collimating lens.

Modes of operation
The user has 4 light modes at his disposal: low, medium, high and burst 600 lumens. In the high mode of 150 lumens, the flashlight can work up to 55 minutes, in the low mode of 3 lumens up to 30 hours. The most useful modes in everyday use include the burst mode (full power of 400 lumens) designed for short but intense illumination and the low mode (moonlight). The delicate glow of 3 lumens is enough for reading, spotlighting a handbag, toolbox or opening a door lock.
Built-in battery
The flashlight is powered by a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 340 mAh , which is charged via a hidden micro-USB port. We gain access to the charging socket only after sliding the body of the flashlight apart, thanks to which the port is properly protected against dirt and moisture. When charging, the LED indicator lights up red, when charged, it turns green. Charging time is approximately 1 hour (from empty to fully charged)
Metal switch with lock function
Activating the flashlight and changing modes is done using a metal switch located on the side wall. Flashlight support:
- Full press of the button turns the flashlight on and off,
- single touches allow you to change modes,
- a double click activates a lock that prevents the flashlight from being accidentally turned on while carrying it.
The minimalist interface makes the flashlight perfect for everyday applications, where we usually just need quick access to light.
Security
The flashlight uses a system that protects the electronic system from overheating . LED in high mode generates a lot of heat, to lower the temperature, the controller will automatically reduce the flux by a few lumens. The high IP68 protection class makes the flashlight resistant to total immersion in water (to a depth of 2 m), dust, dirt and fall.
The presented parameters were obtained in laboratory conditions. During the tests, a 340 mAh Li-Po battery was used.
